My Sharks played 3 Pool Games on Saturday, June 17 and 1 tournament game on Sunday.

Game 1- My Sharks won a close game against the Raiders 2-1.  Kaitlin started the rally in the first with a single and then scored on a wild pitch.  Michelle added a single in the 3rd. Jordynn started off the 5th with a double to right and scored on Sabrenna’s sacrifice fly to leftfield. That was all my Sharks needed to cinch the win. Anna Grace pitched 4 innings giving up only 1 run. Sabrenna finished in relief.

Game 2 was against The Play It Again Sports team.  My Sharks lost this game 10-1.  Jordynn, Kaitlin, Michelle, and Danielle each had singles.  Michelle scored the lone run.

Game 3 was against the Shoals United team. We won this game 7-4.  Bree started the game with a run in the first inning. My Sharks busted loose in the 3rd. Michelle singled and Anna Grace reached on a fielder’s choice. Kaitlin singled to load the bases. Bree hit a long ball over the leftfielder’s head and ended up on third. She scored on a wild pitch to make the game 5-4, Sharks favor. In the 4th inning, we got 2 more runs.  Melissa had a single and scored on a passed ball. Sarah singled and scored on Nicole’s sacrifice fly to center. Anna Grace and Kaitlin each contributed singles in the game. Sabrenna went 5 innings striking out 8 batters. 

Game 4 against the Comets was our tournament game. We lost 7-4 to end the day. Melissa singled and scored on Sarah’s double to leftfield in the second. Michelle had a lone single in the 3rd. Sabrenna and Melissa got on base in the 4th but we couldn’t score. A last ditch effort in the 5th scored 3 runs for us but it wasn’t enough.  Michelle doubled to get on base and Kaitlin singled.  Jordynn followed with a towering Homerun over the centerfielder’s head as she fell over the makeshift fence. Danielle added a single but was left stranded.
